Baldwin Public Library 12:09 am 04/18/2008
I just took photos off my phone.
They were taken at 2 recent events.

One was at a Public Library. I've worked at the Baldwin Public Library 2 years in a row now - they have this special day set up for lots of fun events.
I like when I'm already known - when people rush right over
for their chance. I love my job.

The other was at a NYC Bat Mitzvah at the Citrus Restaurant.
I was downstairs with about fifty 13-year-olds.
They really had fun at this party. The dancing was so wild
because it was so 'innocent' - if that's the word.
Brings me back to a time.....

I am so lucky for these opportunities
to interact with people of all ages.

Why am I spending my morning
just drawing pictures of people
who post their photos on the web?
I don't know?

Well, it started like this.
First, I wanted to practice my 3/4 views -
so I looked for faces.
But on the page that showed an angular man in a
3/4 view, there was a more interesting photo
of a front-view man who was bubbled out with strong glasses, and.....

Okay. So now I'm going to get to sending out
literature, taxes, laundry, yoga.....

It's all good.

an unusual Bar Mitzvah 10:06 pm 04/09/2008
Imagine my surprise when I walked into a Bar Mitzvah
last weekend and everybody (except me) was wearing
sweats and jeans. The nightime celebrations were
at a local Y - 'til midnight! The guests swam and
played baseball in between eating and getting drawn.

It was a whirlwind for me. Not only because I expected
it to be a dress-up occasion. But also because, surprise again,
I didn't know ahead of time that they expected body/hobby.
No time to 'learn my lines'.

Let's see what came out of me under those circumstances.
It's so interesting to me that this is real art.
That my performance is affected by circumstances and emotions.
Well, surprised, didn't know what I drew until 'the morning after'
(when I saw these photos), and we all had a good time:

CHATEAU BRIAND IN GARDEN CITY and GARGIUOLS IN CONEY ISLAND 11:12 pm 04/01/2008
It's so hard to stay up to date in showing my cutting edge work.
Here are some pictures that I did only 2 weeks ago,
yet I was sorry that my graphics card was full
when I was doing this week's jobs.
I was really on this week -
at a belated St Patrick's Day Party
and a Dave and Buster's Sports Cafe. This week's pictures were Wow Right On.

I see so many people, draw so many pictures.
And each one is special. Each one unique.
I wish I had photos of them all,
but my grahics card was full.
Here's all I got for now - from parties I worked 2 weeks ago:
