T-Shirts at Pool Party 11:55 pm 08/01/2008
What wholesome girls. I drew on tshirts at a backyard pool party. Normal. Solid.

Here are a few of them:

Watching TV 11:11 pm 07/30/2008
So there I was. Just watching tv, paper beside me. What to draw?

First I drew a picture loosely based on some innocuous character I saw on the screen.

Then I wondered if I could turn him into a 3/4 view just based on what I drew in the front view.

Then I wanted to pump-up the 3-dimensionality, but the supplies I had there were limited. Still, it passed the time pleasantly:

BTW, if You (Dear Reader) know
who said that quote that popped into my mind
when I saw this picture's eyes,
"If I have seen farther than other men,
it is because I have stood on the shoulders of giants",
please let me know. I couldn't think of it just now,
and I'd want to give credit to the originator.

Comfortable Car 01:03 am 07/29/2008
Running around as usual.
Today I took some time to relax
in the midst of running my errands.
I just called some friends on the phone
from a parking lot.

While I was chatting, I freely drew some pictures.
They were litl things - done on snips of paper.
The first one here is loosely based on a litl girl that
I drew at yesterday's party. And the second one is a woman
who I saw talking in front of the store where I was parked. Wantagh, NY:

In my previous post, I planned it all out. Markers in the Hot Sun. Colorsticks in other situations. Or so I thought.

Maybe we never really change! Could that be? Nah. More likely,
it happens so subtley, that we don't see the growth at each point.
It's just an overall thing - like when you're 20 years old, you're
different thanwhen you were 5 years old. And when you're 50 years
old, you're different than when you were 16 years old.

Anyway, I'm real interested in seeing how my Marker studies
affected this weekend's work. But the files would get all
confused if I don't finish one batch before importing the next.

This weekend I worked indoor Parties. One woman turning 47, and another turning 30.
Both indoors. Very comfortable. I used mostly color sticks, as usual.
But I also used the colored Markers a bit more than usual.

We'll be able to see them when I finish uploading all the pictures
from my previous phone-import. So here's some more of those.
It's just a whole conglomeration from all sorts of different parties.
Life is a party. It's a whirlwind.

What I'm Going to Do 12:30 am 07/26/2008
I know. I know what I'm going to do.
At least I think I do.

When I'm stuck out in the hot sun
and color-sticks start sweating,
That's when I'll easily switch to
the Marker technique that I wrote
about yesterday. It will take care
of the problem.

And when I'm in an easier environment,
I'll use the beautiful color sticks.

Unless I have some reason to do otherwise.

At least,
that's what I Think
I'll do.

Still at it 12:24 am 07/26/2008
Oh my goodness. I wanted to take the new pictures off my phone, so
I checked my computer's desktop to make room. And, oh my goodness.
I found hundreds of pictures that I still haven't posted from the
last time I took photos off my phone.

So here are a few more of them:
