This was a switch. Usually, when I get together with Elgin Bolling (also a fine artist), he does the drawing and I do the coloring. But this time, he colored MY pictures.
This was so much fun. Here are two of them:

First I want to post a picture that I recently did to entertain myself. I've been paying more attention to bodies, the gestures of bodies to be specific:

And now I'll tell you something that happened today.

Amazing that I was able to put my hand onto the picture
what with all the papers around here. A woman called me about some pictures I had drawn SEVERAL YEARS AGO at Ritchie Blackmoore's party. Apparently, she spilled something on them
and wanted to know how much it would cost to get me to redraw them.

I remembered that party - celebrities, you know.
And I remembered that they had ordered a predrawn background for each picture. I found it! I found the predrawn background - now all I have to do is wait for the original pictures to arrive.

Here's the background part:

I've been studying Animation in the city.
So far, I made a girl jump.
Here's the study-sheet I made before I drew all the pictures to scan for the Animation.
(Unfortunately, I don't know how to put the Animation onto my website. Yet.):

The first thing we do when we get together there is to draw a live model.
Here's some of the pictures I drew The first was a 20-minute pose:

I really think she only gave us 30 SECONDS in this pose
At least, that's what I remember her saying:

This one was 10 minutes out of a 20 minute pose

And here's another 30 second pose

Yoga. Healer School Prep. Early in the morning before today's gig (This must be Confirmation season or something. Both yesterday and today - Confirmations!)
Anyway, I was waiting in the car because I arrived early - Yoga studio is locked Nobody else is here yet.

Here are some line-art pictures I drew from some photo references I had with me:

And, since I'm putting up plain line art,
no color, no shading, here's another one I recently did:

Both before and after today's gig,
I was dreaming up cute little pictures
that might be used on toddler's clothing apparel.
According to the studio I'm dealing with,
the following picture won't work.
I did follow their instructions for stiff lines,
but even this is too much line variation for their tastes.
What a world - I work so seriously to maintain graceful lines like Hirschfeld, I studied it so long in Sumi-e, and here I am not using it:

It's so surprising. What they're looking to buy is stuff that's been done already. Little toddlers as though they're living back in the 1950's.
I'm professional. I can do what the client wants. Even though I'd imagine that more current styles and themes would sell to the public better. But this is what they want to produce. Go figure.
Here are some of my pictures. Gotta admit, though, they are cute:
