It All Comes Back Into Style 10:06 am 06/28/2008
Every year, I draw the graduating class of a local High School. It keeps me in touch with the current trends.

Year after year, I felt like a was seeing a new group of the same people - if you know what I mean.
This year, though, finally A Change! Styles and self-care were dramatically different
than they had been. It was more like when I went to High School. In general, the girls' hair
was flatter and messier. And the boys' hair was wilder and messier. More natural.
Not quite looking like everybody sees the hair-stylist every morning.

I'm hired to draw in black/white. Line only. I'll post a few
of them here today:

From My Perspective 09:59 am 06/27/2008
Now, you look at some of these pictures and you tell me - Do I see the most interersting people in the world, or what?

I drew these pictures at a recent little backyard party.

Cadillac 12:09 pm 06/26/2008
I brought my car in for routine maintenance this morning. They treat me like a Cadillac here.
Let me use the Copy machine for some coloring pages I made last night for a Clown. And I used
the water Cooler while they let me use the Computer while waiting.

Perusing this blog, I was inspired by my post of 5/28/08.
So I drew a 3/4 view picture from a front-view photo:

But I wondered if I would have easily had more intensity if I just drew what I saw:

Then I was looking through my sketches, and I found this one from when
I was working on my lineS quality at a recent Cooper Union Graduation:

So I tried a more careful picture of my front view.
What a difference the quality of the pen would have made:

Barely finished my last stroke
when the mechanic walked in.
Is my car finished? Yes!

color swipe 11:04 pm 06/23/2008
Agents. Another idea sent my way.
I was asked to do just a 'color swipe'
at the event pictured here. I was able
to swing right into it, because it's a
little like what I do for Fashion Sketches.

Oh! That reminds me! Oh woe is me.
I was looking forward to another Fashion-Sketches
gig last weekend. Working for an agent. But
he called the night before the event and asked
me to change from the 3-hour Fashion Sketches
event to a 4-hour Caricature event. Well,
since I'd be making More money, And I'd be
getting A+ points for bailing out my Agent, well,
I took the change. Oh woe. Fashion sketches is
my new thing. I had already looked over my
previous work, and I was all set to go!

Anyway, here are the pictures from the Color-Swipe
gig. There's so much wonderful stuff to be
involved in. I love it all.

It's a litl disappointing to find these things that
do work - after I had spent so many years studying
color theory. But being able to flow with it
is really being an Artist. Gotta be cool.
Relax.
Get hip
Get on my track's
Take a back seat, hitch-hike
And take a long ride on my motor bike
Until I'm ready
Crazy little thing called love

Prom 10:25 am 06/22/2008
One of the Parties I worked at yesterday was
a Happy Realistically Enchanted Wedding.
Photos taken of only Some of the pictures
I drew there. Because I am so inundated in Photos.
There are over 400 new Photos on my phone now,
and I still haven't finished posting from the 491
pictures that were on my phone just a few weeks ago.
Having bought this new phone really brought to focus
that I sure do draw A Lot of People! (Now if only
it would keep all my photos in focus.....Lol - then I could post them All!)

I wanted to have photos of all the Wonderful people
I drew, but I had to be realisstic about catching up
with some of the paperwork around here.

Here are some Caricatures that I drew at a High School
Prom. What to think of a Prom? I go to so many now -
from a different philosophical perspective than the guests.
It's so interesting to have this in my Life.

It is so interesting to see these photos here.
I'm thinking that the people at last night's Wedding
looked Younger than the people at this Prom!
You'll see what I'm talking about whenever there's
finally a chance to get up to posting last night's
Wedding Caricatures.
